In 1975, Scott Allan Sailmakers was formed to create the ultimate in personal sail loft services in the Mid-Atlantic region. As a founder of Horizon Sails and subsequently a member of the Doyle Sails Group, Olympian Scott Allan has made a commitment that UK-Halsey Sailmakers Annapolis will not only be a source of outstanding new racing and cruising sails, but will also be a leader in providing service to existing sails.
By joining forces with the UK-Halsey Sailmakers, UK Annapolis aligned itself with one of the most powerful and influential forces in sailmaking. Founded in 1946, the UK-Halsey Sailmakers group now has 51 lofts and service centers located in 20 countries around the world.
In an industry undergoing revolutionary change, UK-Halsey has established itself as an innovator and technical leader with products such as Tape-Drive and UK Ultra and proprietary sailmaking software such as AccuCut and AccuMeasure.
UK-Halsey Annapolis is a full service sail loft. All sails are designed, computer cut and built at our loft in Annapolis. Other services include a canvas shop, and the sale of any roller/furling system on the market. Our sail consultants can answer any roller/furling question. A sail loft is only as good as it's people. At all too many lofts you need a score card to keep track of the faces. At UK-Halsey Annapolis the same core group of sailmakers has been here since the loft was opened in 1975. More than one hundred years of collective sailmaking experience is at your service when you walk through our doors.
